to the “Bulgarian Research and Education Network” (BREN) association’s site. BREN is a non-profit legal entity, registered under the Non-profit Legal Entities Act.
BREN aims at deploying, developing, and operating the Bulgarian research and education networks, as well as facilitating the integration of Bulgarian educational, scientific, and cultural resources in the global information space.
BREN provides the Bulgarian Universities and scientific institutes with access to the pan-European and global research and education networks through high performance information infrastructure.
On 21 April 2017 in Sofia Hotel Balkan was held a round table on "National priorities in the development of e-government", organized by the State Agency for Electronic Governance, Bulgarian Academy Of Sciences, ICT Cluster and Cluster "Information and Communication Technologies - Blagoevgrad". The event went under the auspices of MEPs from the EPP group in the European Parliament.
Greetings to the participants in the round table were presented by Mr. Rossen Zhelyazkov, Chairman of the State Agency for Electronic Governance, Academician Julian Revalski, President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and MEPs Mr. Vladimir Urutchev and Ms. Eva Maydel.

Presented were different perspectives of the main aspects of e-governance in the light of the Strategy for the Development of e-Governance in the Republic of Bulgaria 2014-2020 and the Roadmap for its Development 2016-2020, ending with discussion to enlighten the problems of the e-government in Bulgaria. Signed was a Memorandum In which were depicted the priorities for e-government development in the Republic of Bulgaria. The participants announced their interests and commitment to the topic. They agreed on various forms of cooperation with appropriate organizing and financing.
